Hedley Ellis

Formed CPIS with Larry Ellis in 1999 and has invested all his knowledge and experience into the business. Hedley wrote his first insurance policy in April 1971 when he worked for AMP as a commission agent. In April 1983 Hedley joined Suncorp as an Insurance agent. At this time they were known as District Inspectors. Hedley is now part-time in the business. Succession planning has placed Brett Ellis in a position to continue the business to service clients.

Brett Ellis

Director

Brett specialises in providing insurances for all business needs. Examples of this include asset protection insurance and key person insurance. Brett also provides insurance advice for Life & Trauma and income protection. Brett has come into the business after spending many years working on Dunk Island, where he lived a life that we all dream of in retirement. In 2001 Brett decided to diversify and allocate his time to work in the family business.

Doug Sims

Qualifications: Auth Insurance Agent, Dip Financial Planning, JP (Qual)

Doug previously owned his own business in Townsville for 16 years providing Financial Planning Advice. Like Brett (and Hedley) Doug specialises in insurance for businesses & families. Risk planning & asset protection is imperative for both small and large scale commercial operations. Life, Trauma and Income Protection insurance are also part of Doug's portfolio. Again Doug has accumulated a wealth of knowledge, allowing a broad application available to customers of CPIS.

Kerry Currey

Office Manager

Kerry has been a long term investment and has been with the company for more than 15 years. Kerry started working with Hedley Ellis, the founder of the business. Kerry's knowledge has continued to grow and accumulate producing excellent returns for our customers. She also previously worked in insurance before joining CPIS as well keeping everyone organised, (including herself). Kerry provides expert advise to customers for personal/business insurance.

Leanne Paviour

Qualifications: Administration and Business backup Extraordinaire

Leanne has been with CPIS for several years and provides a high level of administration support. A valued member of the CPIS team portfolio, Leanne primarily provides back up assistance for insurance services. This includes commercial & personal insurance renewals and phone enquiries. Having previously spent 5 years working with NRMA Insurance, Leanne says "she really enjoys the family friendly atmosphere at CPIS

Toni Love

Qualifications: Administration

Toni has recently emigrated from the UK with her husband and daughter to live in beautiful Australia.

She joins our team with an extensive administration background. Tonis main duties are to ensure our client database is kept up to date and also to resolve any questions you may have.

Greg Barry

Qualifications: Authorised Representative of Suncorp, Commericial & General Insurance Manager

Greg was born and raised in Brisbane and as an adult has also lived and worked in Sydney and the United Kingdom. He is married with one child and loves family life and believes that there is no better place to raise a family than here in Queensland.

Greg has worked in a variety of roles in the Insurance Industry for the past 8 years both here and in the UK. As an Authorised Representative of Suncorp his role with Certified Planning and Insurance Services will be to manage their Commercial and General Insurance portfolios.

As well as being excited by the challenge of ensuring all CPIS clients are provided with high quality Insurance solutions, Greg is also committed to expanding and developing his experience and knowledge within the industry.

Janelle Evans

Compliance Officer

Janelle joined our team in July, 2007. She has substantial experience in the financial planning industry in roles including compliance, technical assistance and paraplanning. Her knowledge and experience should be an invaluable resource for the company. Janelles primary role is to ensure that compliance standards are adhered to i.e. that the financial planning process has been completed properly and there are the necessary documents on file to substantiate it.
